unless it's a really difficult rim to find you're usually better off just getting a new one. Rim repairs are very expensive.

I've never bothered getting a rim fixed myself, but I think I've heard good things about The Rim King

Union Rim Repair http://www.unionrim.com

They fixed two of my old lightweight rims, two cracks and a bend in one, did an amazing job, low cost and great job. cracks were on inside and bend did not require any refinishing so I think that is why it was such low cost.

iirc 140 for two rims to be completely fixed and 100% true. I do recall it was an extra to have the tires swapped off and re balanced after. So bring just raw rims there.

Have you ever priced out fixing some curb rash ? just on one wheel an aluminum one i'm thinking of doing the repair myself with high heat bondo which can withstand 600 degrees for powdercoating but would rather just have someone do it if it's cheap enough

There's a guy here in Brampton (Quy) and he quoted me $500 for a set of 4 SVT 5-spoke rims to blast them, do some very minor curbage repair and powder coat them.

IMO there's no point to that - a few bucks more and I could have a whole new set and still have the old ones to sell or keep as spares. If it had of been $70 ea like hardkore says, well that makes more sense.
