Alpine CDE-9486 MP3 CD Player

Great little CD/MP3 Player. Put it in 2 days ago to replace my old Pioneer DEH-1300.

I was looking for a standard CD player that could play MP3 cds. Didn't care about flip screens or funky visuals.

Pros:

- Plays MP3's and CD's
- Awesome Equalizer
- 1 pre out, all you need if you want a basic sub setup.
- Nice display i guess
- Cost, got it on sale for 200.00 plus tax
- Detachable faceplate.
- RMS output is 16w, compared to 14w on my old Pioneer i believe.
- Safer overall since you aren't changing CD's as often.

Cons:

- Plug on Pioneer and Alpine not the same at the back of the headunit, would be nice to have a standard plug instead of rewiring.
- No fancy display, just LCD wording.
- Faceplate is big and bulky when detached.
- No WMA, Ogg, or MP4 support.

Overall, good MP3 player. Sounds much better than my old Pioneer DEH-1300.

If you're looking to replace your stock unit for a basic MP3 player at a low cost, I'd recommend going with this unit.
