I recently put 17inch rims on my focus....now i can see the rusted and ugly looking brakes....i need to upgrade! im thinking slotted rotors and new calipers. Any ideas??? i work at ford so i could get a good deal on SVT calipers but will they fit?? ....maybe EBC rotors and pads?? any suggestions?

You'd need to do a complete SVT brake swap. Knuckles and all. I'd just upgrade the rotors and pads. Get a good set of 'blank' standard rotors or good quality slotted roters - Brembo, etc., and some Hawk HPS pads, and you'll be all set.

Stay a mile or two away from the ATE Premium One rotors. I've determined them to be the fault of all my brake problems.

I got the same as sonic. EBC drilled and slotted on the front with Russell SS Brake Lines and Hawk HPS pads. Don't go with the HP pads as they are more designed for race applications. Very happy I did this upgrade. Saved my ass more than once.

Find a wrecked 05+ and do that swap. Which is in fact the Ford Rally brake kit, which I did recently. Not as big as the SVT but better all the same. You will need the steering knuckles, calipers & brackets, rotors and pads.

As Oscar mentioned Hawk HPS is a street version pad. With Hawk HP Plus you would get a lot of squeeking everywhere you brake and they take time to warm up. Other then that they are bomb on the track.
