Don't give that kid a Xbox or PS2!!! Where is the Ritalin when you need it!
that was me as a child... only game machines weren't allowed, so it was either a remote control car or lego....
I've never seen a kid so excited about a N64 before. Less sugar for that kid.

Kids are great.

As for electronic games I pre-date the popularity of PONG and don't forget the first big "must have" portable, these things were a big deal at the tail end of the 70's:

I have a box of these things. My 44 year old brother gave them to me years ago.
I have foot ball, soccer basebal (the game looked like a stadium :P)
Should I bring em' camping?
