There's a Ford GT at Jubilee Ford today....... if your bored, go check it out, apparently they are revealing it today....

Original blue/orange paint scheme......

Not sure how long it's going to be here. I'm planning to swing by today, I'll grab some pics and post them up later.

I think that is the same one they have there, some dealer demo thing. Pretty rare to see ANY performance car here on the prairies....

Opens at 11am today, just heard it on the radio in the main showroom......
If you're in 'toon you guys should check it out.. beautiful car.. barely comes up to my waist.

I wonder if they'll start making kit cars of the new GT once it's out of production. I always dreamed about getting a GT40 kit car when I got older, but if I could get a car I'd actually fit in, and didn't locate the gas tanks in the door sills, I'd be so up for it.
Yeah I wondered that also........ There are a couple of those kit cars kicking around the city here, one is a blue lamborghini and it's 'very' close to the real thing, alot of original parts on the thing and a complete head turner.

Looking forward to this, I'll post up some pics for sure tonight. Not sure how good they will be as I'm sure there will be ALOT of people checking this out.
Blue and Orange ford gt and bennet too right now, it's at this moment tho at the home and garden show this weekend, back to showroom monday. In Regina
hmmm, im not to far from jubilee, maybe i will roll down at 5 after work.

But i wanna get my digicam first :(
I'll be going back later today to get my car...oil change plus 50,000 km check up.
We will be taking the dig camera. It had the cover on when we were there.
appartently there are 3 Ford GTs in Sask, one in Regina, one in Saskatoon, and one at Lakeland Ford. All of them have the Gulf Racing colour scheme.
Well just got back, amazing car. Was talking with the guys at the dealership, the dealership actually bought the car so they own it according to the manager there.

Anyway ALOT of people, got some decent pics. Vaughn started it up (he owns the dealership) so we all took a listen, very cool sounding that's for sure. Revved it pretty hard, very very very quick throttle response.

Anyway pics are below, I'll just link them since they are 1000 pixels in width.......

Not to bad for $209,000 give or take.... check the window sticker. This one came with some added options also, different rims, leather trim, etc......
Made a mistake on the name, it's a FORD GT, not a GT40.... oh well. I've always known that car style as a GT40 and since the original was named so, kinda shocked FORD didn't stick with that name. That and typical 'street slang' for GT would be a Mustang GT......

Oh well.......
The gulf colors don't really work on the new GT... needs to be blue with the white stripe..

I actually like the gold/black look better but yeah, the colors are 'different' but there's alot of history on it.......
Way to go Chad, nice pics. Should have got video when he started it up, i wanna hear that beats.

I would have to say im not a fan of the gulf colours either.
kinda can't call it a GT40, cause the orginal car was 40 inches tall and new one is 44 inches tall. GT44 doesn't have the same ring to it. i know too much about the Ford GT cars.

thank god, because we all remember what happened when Ford tried the GT on their own again..

the fact that you can build a 'recplica' of a 30 yr old car and it still fit in with the latest exotics is a testament to just how great the original was (and still is).
