Hit it up at Earlton on the weekend for some 1/4 mile drag runs.

On stock P6 tires, my best was 14.44sec @ 97.14mph. Does that sound good for a turbocharged duratec? My shifting was good, although my takeoff's were really squirrelly cause of the tires.

I'll post pics up soon of the slip.

Was a good day too. Beat out some cars.

1968 Olds Cutlass with MT tires
1989 Mustang GT with Intake/Exh/Headers.
1995 Honda Civic with gutted interior, exhaust, intake, header, d16y8 engine and 75 shot nitrous (buddy of mine).
Early 80's Firebird 6.6L Auto.

Owned by

600hp Semi pro bastard in a new Camaro.
1967 Chev Camaro RS (by a car length).

60ft was like 2.3sec

stage 1 dyno was 185whp/200wtq
stage 2 i'm guessing is 235hp/250wtq. FS has them listed at 220whp/233wtq.
Thats quick on all seasons, Im also interested with what your car is putting down.

yep, you need better tires
are you tuned for stage 2 already?
Just got the base tune in right now and running 11psi. Probably still needs some fine tuning though.
i think good dyno tune is your best bet
did you get an LSD?

I see now why you look forward to dissin' the Foci's at Mosport at the end of the month . You're putting down on stage 2 about 74 HP more than my stock SVTF . Add to that AWD ..? Good luck cheating :P
.............AWD?

are you thinking that you're talking to Dan?

P.S. are you comming to Cayuga this sunday?
Nice run Oscar, that beats my car by over a full second.

Guess it puts a lie to the old saying "There's no replacement for displacement"

Imagine if you actually HAD AWD on the Focus? (Or if I could find a turbo for the V6 D-tec :P)

AWD could actually slow down the car in the 1/4. It would be a good launch (if some tranny holds up) but trap speed would be probably lower. I'm not an expert but that's just my suspicion.
when i was watching pass-time the 4x4 pickups that go on like the F-250/350's would launch in AWD to get traction, once they get some speed they'd switch it into 2wd, seems to work for them lol.
Here's the timeslip for yall.

Interesting, I reviewed my own timeslips and it looks like the Fusion AWD hangs with your FoFo to 60' (2.359 is my best 60' ET) but loses at the top end (where the weight of the Fusion and the automatic works against it)

I paid yestarday :)
Honestly I don't think 14.4 is fast for your first run sure its pretty quick. But when I was running my presion turbo kit running 220 whp and 220 torque. By the end of the day on my first time out I had it down to 13.9 on plain old yokohama's. After I perfected the launch, I was able to run 13.5's allll day long.
a 2.4 60 is sh!t

for every tenth you shave here equals 2 tenths at the top end

So if you get a 2.2 you should be around 14.0

I believe you have a high 13 car I think if you can hook it will be a 13.6-13.8 car come fall with cooler air temp

But what do I know ;)
lol you know quite a bit. Your launching to hard and spinning way to much out of the whole. Even with all season 2.0 and 2.1 are in your reach. Theres alot more to launching than dropping the clutch. Use the ebrake once your set up and rev it up and start releasing the clutch slowly one it goes green drop the ebrake and go full throttle and ease off the clutch you shouldn't spin to much on the track if you do lower your tire pressure.
