Ford builds four millionth European Focus
Valencia, Spain â The Ford Focus, one of Europe's most popular cars, reached a milestone with the production of the four millionth one produced in Europe. The Colorado Red four-door was produced at Ford's assembly plant in Valencia, Spain.
The Focus, which had European sales of 442,000 units in 2005, is also produced at European assembly plants in Saarlouis, Germany and St. Petersburg, Russia. Outside of Europe, it is produced in the U.S., China, Taiwan, Philippines and South Africa. More than five million Focus cars have been sold worldwide, with its best years in 2000 and 2001, when it achieved the status of being the best-selling car in the world.
