Before you get started you are a sick perv.

Anyhoo, I am taking my son to a B-day party for a 6 y.o. girl. What are girls that age into these days? I have to pick a present and want to stay away from DVD's to avoid duplication or redundency.

Anyone have any neices that age?

What would be a "hit" with a $25 budget?

Good ideas, especially the jewelry maker kit. The girl is the oldest of three kids under 6, I'm sure being the centre of attention by making stuff for the other two would be very satisfying for someone who probably doesn't get the attention she once used to because of the younger siblings. Do they still make EZ Bake ovens? Imagine the power a 6 yo girl would feel to be able to say: "tonight, dessert is my treat".

one 2-hour cupcake at a time...

Might want to go with the jewelery maker...
I want an e-z queezy installed in the car. I like the idea of a cupcake I set on bake and have ready for when i pick my car after work.

As the father of a six-year-old, I can recommend anything Barbie, Click-Its (girly Lego) or a jewlery box, musical of course. A dance mat (DDR) is good but prob. over $25.

All that click-it crap can be bought at Winners for cheap. (yes... I work there and have to endure seeing the kids section at least once a week  )

DDR is great and all, but the mat needs a game to play it, not to mention a system. But... it is around 60 something bucks for the mat and game combo.
