Quite a few, but why do I need to know? I don't plan on running any redlights anyway

Well if you don't there could be other people that do, Which is not me. Im bored just wanted to share that info with everybody. What are you a cop. lol
Well if people DO go through them, they deserve their ticket.

And no I'm not a cop... friend is becoming one. Told him we should stage some high speed persuits when he gets a car. Except that's really stupid, but oh well lol

(yes I read the news story about some guys who did that)
I'm gonna move this to OT.
I have no problem with red light cameras, the more the better.
city of saskatoon made half a million in 2 months from red light cameras.
I don't have a problem with them, either.
haha, no one has problems with these unless you are travelling with group of cars for a funeral and all you can see is the bloody camera snapping pictures of ppl passing red light.

so not only you have to deal with a death of a loved one but you also have to go to court and fight a ticket for passing a Red light and explain to the judge that you were being escorted by police while you crossed the light. poor ppl.
i heard of one guy who ran a red light, got his plate snapped by the camera, in the end, they couldnt give him a ticket because a bird flew in the way of the camera and blocked his plate completely, lol lucky guy

This thread is a whore.
I'd fight it if I got a ticket in a funeral procession. Can they really refuse you? I mean s**t... that's a lot of tickets at the same intersection, consecutively. Someone will notice as these things start getting challenged.
Y'know I don't have problems with the idea of red light cameras, it's just the actual application that makes me nervous.

I lend my car to someone, they're stupid and run a red light and I get nailed as the registered owner of the vehicle? Let's just say even when my dad wants to borrow the car now I cringe <_<

Now Nef buddy. You have to ask yourself who the stupid one is. Your buddy for running the red light or you for lending them your $20000+ car?

Nuff said Nef?

Hey, I've said no to friends borrowing the car, no shame in that. It's when the parental units want to borrow the car that I cave faster than the asphalt on the 401 in springtime

Doesn't help either that my dad, for example, rolls through stop signs like tumbleweeds on the Praries and speeds like he has the devil on his arse

Yeah same for Edmonton I heard too, but reality is no one out west really starts to come to a stop at yellow lights even......

If someone dose they look at the plate to see what province they are from.

There's usually no points, just a fine, just for that reason.

Send him the bill then. Do you not think that if the shoe was on the other foot that he wouldn't make you pay the fine?

I think red light cameras are an awesome idea.
This is from someone who got their car totalled by some bitch running a red light because she was busy diddling with her car stereo.

Same here... just over 10 years ago now. Is it right to still be a little bitter?

Plus, drunk / stoned teenage morons who should have never got behind the wheel to begin with ran a 4-way and total my uncle's Escalade, killing my other uncle's wife. Bastards.

These cameras will nail everyone who offends. Let the honest prove themselves.

Lol, why not? It's been 19 years for me....but hey I lucked out when I got that car (bought it for a song, nearly mint from a guy who inherited a brand new car).

I loved that car, I remembered getting the insurance settlement cheque that was a fraction of the replacement value, and being like 19 years old and how screwed and helpless I felt.

'Scuse me while I go curl up and cry now. :(
