Chain or belt there is really nothing wrong with either.
This is all proven stuff, 99% of motorcycles are belt or chain drive and with the power numbers bikes are laying down I doubt it is a problem at all. The chains in these cars aren't single strand either they are multiple strand like a timing chain.
