When you see a car like this one, you use the word "Classic" to describe it right???

What cars do you think will be considered "classics" 40 years from now?

Post pics fellas.
did anyone see horsepower tv this weekend.... they just finished that choptop 55 chevy. its awesome...

i wish i could find pics.
Last-gen F bodies. Don't have any pics at the ready, but what's not to love about a 300+HP LS1-powered Camaro SS? *drool*
SVT Focus...liked by everyone, and not just the Focus fanatics of the world either...
mustang and corvette...i'll bet

thats what i was going to say...

pretty much all the remakes of the classic. Camaro, charger, mustang, corvette...
Thats a tough one and really depends on people like us, what we want to restore r garage for the next 30 years, is a Toyota Camary ever going to be a classic, not likely, but what about the SVT Mustang Cobra R. Only 300 built! Its going to be a lot different, back then there were the big 3 plus AMC. Now there are at least 10 big car makers available here in Canada.

meh, the svt focus is going to be disregarded like the Neon RT and the Escort GT.

not enough substance.

I'd say the SRT-4
STI
EVO 8
DSM's
CRX
New GTO
300C

i can see car and driver doing specials on those cars 20 years from now, they seem to be the biggest cars of our (current) generation
depends on domestic or import/sport compact

its a little harder now too though, cars are more mass produced now, there wont be as many "rare" cars either, other then exotics. plus cars nowadays are lasting alot longer.

there will be cars that will be use to describe waht was driven in the 1990-210 car era though...and then the term classic will depend who you ask

ask people in the sport compact scene and you will hear things about supras, rx7s, r34 skylines etc.....depending on how many get destroyed by ricers who blow the motors and wrap them around trees

ask any domestic driver and youll get your C5 corvette zo6, definitely last gen f-bodys but the companys nowadays arent coming out wiht any special packages for cars to make them rare, they jsut mass produce what sells(ala 05 mustangs)
back then there were really only one type of car market, but now there are so many niche groups that classic will definitely be hard to define.

as the worst waste of money EVAR! jeeezus... 100+k for something slower and uglier than the new vette. :(

WHAT ABOUT THE SHO?

Anything that is classic and worth looking at has a V8. I don't think that will change in the future. So saying the SVT , Neon, etc. will be a classic in the future doesn't hold substance to me. Cars N/A made will be in high demand with the odd nutbar that wants another civic rice-a-ronied to the max.
I'll still stick to my guns and say the SRT4 will be a classic.... look at all the hype it recieved.

haha
but so did the Spirit R/T.... i want that car though. :(
Turbo Focus
^^hardly.

oh wow, look at that pinto!

That will be the focus in 40 years.

How'bout the pt cruiser?

that's even worse than flo's answer. You getting enough oxygen to that brain Anthony? Maybe you need more FOOD> Beer and wings Friday night.
The Civic!!!!

For real, the Dodge Viper, Dodge SRT-4, and the Chrysler Crossfire.
