I've done some colourations of black and white photos in the past, and thought i'd get back into it... so i started off with something simple... an old picture scanned from behind a cracked glass frame...

I'm still not sure about the sky.. since this stuff is mostly subjective, if the person I'm doing it for, likes it, then the saturation stays. if not, i'll probably tone it back down to a previous revision...

note ... just noticed the RGB profiles are a bit off on this machine... exported image is a bit more turquois than it should be...
Thats pretty cool.
good, but the sky...

gotta have a proper colour profile.. cheap-ass LCD generic crap... it's actually blue in the master copy.. not sure why the profile is skewing it to turquois on export..
it does look good though,

what war was that from?
a bit better...

^^^^ sky looks better in that one. Thats some good stuff Steve.
Thumbs Up! :)
that's awsome! how did you do that?
Very cool stuff. Now someone give that man an M60 and let him kick some NVA ass
Second picture looks amazing. Well done!
My advice would be to go here

http://www.gettyone.com

and download a sky.
You can then easily slice it into the background.

the person in this case doesn't want a sky added in... she just wants what's in the picture. And that's what I'm providing....her son has enough photoshop skillz to add a sky later if need be.
thats awesome.
