hey, i was just wondering what the rev limiter on the focus is, and when does it start to red line?
The stock rev limiter is 6800, and redline is 7000.
is it possible for valves to hit pistons when u hit the limiter?
The rev limiter just cuts off fuel to the engine.

No. The Focus is a non interference motor.

They make these cars for Grandmas and soccer moms ..... there is no way to make the valves hit the pistons.
Except on the SVT. Redline is i believe 7300 rpm, Limiter 7250. people have it safley pulling to 7800 with stock internals.
No way for piston's to hit valves eh.... Ats not good information for me to know lol

I hit my rev liimter all the time and it doesn't do a thing to the car
Remind me to test that tomorrow with the SPI :D
break a timing belt and i'm sure you'll see the valves hit the pistons
