With dvd media, you can't rely on brand names for quality. They all outsource to different suppliers. Kodak uses CMC Magnetics and Prodisc among others. Maxell started using Ritek. Fuji is using Prodisc. Memorex has the worse reputation for using low quality manufacturers for it's dvd media.
It's still a great deal no matter who makes them, but the regular price is a total ripoff. Would you pay $150 for 200 Prodisc 4X media?
BTW, what are you guys doing with all of that blank dvd media? Ripping/backing up movies?

I know most people back up movies using DVDDecrypter and DVD Shrink. I just read DVDDecrypter has been forced to shut down. Personally, I've never used either as I have my own method of circumventing copy protection. Just curious if this lack of DVDDecrypter (updates) will be affecting some of you.
Well I still have the last copy of it. Seems strange that they shut them down, but I could see this happening if they were running out of the states. That program is perfectly legal under Canadian Law.

I back up ps2 games and movies/anime/tvshows/mp3s...

Im your average pirate.
Bump.

Futureshop now has Fuji 8X dvd-r (100 for $39.99) Good price, but they are more than likely rebadged Prodisc media. I'd get some, but I already have a stockpile of several hundred Taiyo Yuden and Ritek/Ridata printables.

I'm doing god's work... pirating porn in the hope that I alone, can bring down the entire immoral industry that only objectifies and holds women prisoner to sin.

it's hard work, but I do it knowing that my place in heaven is secured.
DVDXcopy and CloneDVD both work very well to backup dvd movies.
