Alrighty well I think my kenwood is going to kick the bucket, having a hard time reading brand new burnt cds, or even the lazer cleaning cd. So I'm looking at a bunch of different options. Just wondering wat everyone thinks
First Option straight up Normal CD/Mp3 Deck Alpine/Pioneer etc
Second Option DVD/Video System with built in Screen Alpine/Panasonic/Kenwood etc
Third Option DVD indash player no built in screen but added on.
My question stands as this to those with the dvd/vid systems with screens do u actually play movies on it, or is it just a mere Wow factor. I'm thinking I may just go with a straight deck no screen. But just curious as to wat yall think.
I had the whole PS2 screens in my Cavy and really in 2 years used them 5 times all at shows or showing off. Its nice to have, but really not needed. I would really go with a top end MP3, CD player. I really like the new clarion touch screen deck/
DXZ955mc.
Just my thoughts.

there was one guy interested in this, but still waiting to hear back from him. If you want it it's yours if you can come up with the cash first:

that clarion deck ^^^^ is friggin gangsta,....for real...I really like it but, i got a deck already but that unit is seriously pimped!
Pioneer Premier DEH-P770MP. Triple 4V 100 ohm pre-outs, high-level high and low-pass crossovers, MP3/WMA capable, and just friggin PIMP.
That's my next deck, that or the P8MP. This is my fave deck of their current offerings (within reach). What a sick deck -

I've seen a few DVD mp3 player decks... now
that would rock. One DVD full of mp3's and you're good for what? A year or more? :banger:

K so here's my options that I'm looking at
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-FSN7b9tnrjJ/c...lpine%20cda9835
or the Pioneer 7700
the alpine is 544$ at Kileys, but the sales person told me it's cost price to them is 450(I know the guy) or the 7700 premier is 379 at Audiowarehouse. I'm partial to the alpine. Wat do you all think of the two?
out of the two you chose, i'd go with the alpine. it has a lot of options if you wanna make an excellent sounding system.
Don't go non-Premier. The price point for that vs. the P770MP is nothing, and the features are a LOT better, including the 4V triple pre-outs.
I run the Pioneer DEH-P770MP and its an amazing deck. I couldnt have been more happy for the amount of money I spent on it. I recommend it to any one who like's bass this desk pumps it nice and clean.

I bought the Alpine deck at A&B Sound for $420 plus tax. Visions was selling it for $420 as well. Do yourself a favor and stop buying things at Kiley's. I know way too many people that paid way too much for stuff from there. Great deck but for $544 I'd pass.
I bought the 9835 mainly because I am used to Alpine's interface. I can adjust them without looking at the deck. I started with a 7838, to a 7861, then a 7876, a 7998, and this year the 9835. I miss the 7998, but the phantom face scared me because it wasn't exactly a great disguise. The 9835 has everything that had, and takes up less space in the dash.
Definatley go with the alpine. Theyre awesome decks. If youre not looking for something too flashy go with the 9815. from last year... well now 2 years ago. the only thing i dont like about my 9835 is its a bit slow sometimes, (loading mp3's) (scratched discs etc) plus the alpine user interface is awesome
ive been through. 7977,7995,9815,9835... and i plan to go to the IVAD901 or the 9855 shortly.,.... for some reason i upgrade my H/U yearly.
