On the focus fanatics how to he states that these side trim pieces are glued on? Is this true? For all model years? Is it the same on my focus? If so I'd like to take these pieces off and sand them down myself and get them painted.

They're held on with two sided tape, and tabs.

Just buy some 3M two sided tape to put them back on.
Ask Paolo for the low-down...he did his is and they look pimp!!! I helped him a bit in the summertime and it's pretty easy

By tabs you mean there are holes in the door?

yeah in our cars, there is holes behind the moundings with alignment pegs in the moulding strips. the sanding part is the easiest, its removing all the 3m tape from the existing mouldings and off your paint which is the hard part. i went through 2 bottles of goo gone

Yeah unfortunately theres mounting holes in the doors for them.

I'd love to shave the trim and get those holes welded in one day.
I think there was a white focux zx3 a while back that had it done. It look awesome. Too bad about those stupid wholes or i'd do it for sure.

Love the no moulding look:

Not actually shaving the entire indent, but just shaving the holes left behind looks awesome IMO.
