Hey All,
A co-worker here has a 2004 Focus SE 4 door sedan. I was looking at his car and noticed that the stock Stereo looks to be a double DIN in size.
Is there a kit that one can buy to convert the double DIN into a single DIN...or maybe 2 single DIN. Any advice would be greatly apreciated.
Yep, any big stereo shop should have em in stock.
I prefer the AI kit.
sorry offtopic.. which mounting thing you got in your car.. the plastic thing around your deck and little empty space.. where'd you get it?

Futureshop/bestbuy sells the faceplate kit that will fit a standard din size radio in the focus. Oh P.S. the factory radio is not double din, its more like 1.8 din.
Could just get it custom made.
nice thanks ill check it out.. hopefully dont dont need to order it..
and i dont think its double din either.. a little smaller
Its not double din. When I ordered my ignited mounting plate, I ordered the full din size and it was too big. :(
here is a pic of the one I put in my car. its pretty sweet

You can get DIN removal tools at most places for a few bucks, Walmart has them with their car stereo stuff. It's just a bit of wire that fits into the 4 holes and releases the clips holding the stereo in.
You can do it easily with a cut up coat hanger, or pick them up from walmart for around $6.
