I have a 2000 ZX3. Problem, when turning right there is a noise, almost like a gear whine. I would guess it's the pump because it doesn't start untill the steering is loaded up, then dissappears when you hold a turn or straighten out. I will try and bleed the system tonight. Anyone have any thoughts on this. Thanks

It probably just means youre low on fluid.

Um yea i have a 2000 zx3 also, i notice a noise when i turn the wheel, kinda like a squeeking?? Yea ive just gotten used to it, only bothers me when the music aint on, which is never... soo.

Noisy power steering pumps are very typical for Ford. Ignore it. Turn up the music.
Ya I get the same thing. All fords are like that, just learn to live with it.
