Quote:Hi

We at Lockwood International have finally produced solid woven stainless steel grilles for the Focus mk1, both pre and post facelift versions.

I have attached some photos of the grilles we produce. We have produced both the upper and lower grilles for the pre facelift and the lower grille for the post facelift versions. The grilles are direct replacements for the standard plastic grille. The grilles come complete with all fittings required. The grilles are made by us in the UK from solid stainless woven wire, which is then electro polished to give a permanent luster. An EPDM rubber edging finished the grille of and gives it a snug paint friendly fit. The upper grille is badgeless and has no indicator signals mounted, so they will only be suitable with UK style headlights. Access to the bonnet release mechanism is through the mesh itself.

We would like to offer them to members of the Canadian Focus community at a special price.

Pre facelift models:

Lower grille - £70.00 (UK price £84.95)

Upper grille - £82.00 (UK price £99.79)

Post Facelift models:

Lower grille – £82.00 (UK price £99.50)

Carriage to USA depends on quantity ordered and weight. Single items cost around £15.00

We would like to place this offer in the most effective manner, you can either arrange a bulk purchase (at further discount) to sell them on your self, or members can purchase them direct from us.

Please let me know which method you would prefer.

Nathan

So they finally finished the upper grill.. I remember reading a lot of ffoc.co.uk posts about people who got the lower grill but didnt like how it stuck out so much without a matching upper grill. Looks like a pretty high quality piece, but I'd rather have something black.. But then again I've already replaced my grills and I'm not shopping for them.
Those look nice.......really nice but I dont think I want to spend $180 pounds on grills considering thats like over $400 cdn. :o
I don't like them, I think the chrome would stand out like a sore thumb on a darker colored focus. They do look like serious HIGH quality though. Depends on the look your going for I guess.....
Pardon my ignorance, but aren't those just clones of the RS grilles? Andrew, chime in on this, you've got RS grilles....

It's a really similar look to the Collection grill.. badgeless of course. Also since they're made of steel, you'll probably have to bend your hood latch a bit to be able to make it fit. The european grills open with a hood lock, and the grill edge gets in the way of the hood latch in the north american cars (the stock euro grill does anyway).

Very similar but not exactly the same. All told mine were at least as the same cost probably more?

Where these have a "billet" edge mine are edged with the same wire as the weave itself. Then of course I have the badge that swivels for the hood lock. Fitment for top and bottom was no problem at all and I've been pleased with the materials, no hint of rust on the mesh after 2 (or is it 3?) winters.
