Groans bumps and squeeks are par for the course Andrew.

You may have to just "deal" with it. :(
Still must be nice to have somebody yo know working on the car...at leats there not going to dick aorund.
Fuel filter is being done as well. My tank has "crud". I wish could to stop buying Esso but the station is on the way to work and I get a couple bucks off the car wash.

Oh yeah?

Wow.

I'm certain you know the "normal" squeeks and groans of the car so I trust you when you say there is something deeply wrong.

wow..

do they need to retorque every bolt on your suspension or something ?
Details on Friday when I get the car back and have part numbers and prices in hand.

Lets face it, it is dealer service, this is how they make their money, they do not do it by selling cars.

As is always the case I could have maybe sourced my own cheaper parts but in the end parts are not the problem it's the labour that jacks it up to the stratosphere.

It is part of car ownership and the price you pay for neither having the skill, time, tools, facilities or will to do all these things yourself.

I also wish, at this time, to thank the Hamilton Public Works Department for their fine upkeep of the minefields they call roads in east Hamilton.

Worst of all it also means I have to take the subway home.
Don't worry....I'll hook you up with a discount.
;)
Who are you dealing with??...Linda or Peter??

Peter

Thanks bud!
You are no longer over $1000.
Your car is now ready.
LOL

I won't know for sure till I see the paper in front of me, I did write it down but can't find it now. Be patient. Focus is in Toronto and I am in Hamilton with the WRX. I'll pick the Focus up on my way into work tomorrow.

1) Front spring inserts
2) Fuel Pump Recall
3) Maintenance #3/#4
4) Cooling System Flush
5) Fuel Filter Replacement (man was that thing nasty)
6) 4-Wheel Alignment

Total w/ taxes is around $975 if I remember correctly after discount.
I ate about $85. LOL

It is that Esso 87, dirtiest fuel on the planet*, I think I'll stop using that crap altogether.

Stay away from Esso, PetroCanada, and Shell.
They're all shitty.
Sunoco and Pioneer (owned by Sunoco) are the best.
:D
