Nice shots! Welcome to FC!
Looks alright, but your a total liar! it's Not Vanilla! it's Silver!

oh, and welcome to the site.
Welcome to FC. When are the Mod's starting. May I suggest a drop?
(ZX5) Thank you.

(2001) Thank you, and :-P failtastic literalism.

(FmF) Thank you, and I'm pretty broke right now, so mods are going to be slow and steady over the next months. Just about to head back to school, so money's tight :-(

I bought a small roll of 3M Di-NOC, I plan on doing some exterior paint and minor trim touches... As for interior, I want to upgrade the stock speakers (but not the stock head yet, I like my steering wheel controls. Saving up for the 100$ box to convert the controls to a head that supports wired remote)

The car is a daily driver, so no mods that would risk ****ing that up. I don't have a garage at school, so it needs to be a reliable car. (and I can't have it in pieces either :-P... yet.)

Mods I'm looking at:
- CAI
- Duratec Engine Cover (FSWerks/FocusSport)
- Cold-Cathode foot-well lighting as well as some interior trim
- Interior 3M Carbon Fibre (Di-NOC)
- Exterior lower front grille in black
- Permenant iPad/iPhone install in dash with REV and OBDII interface
- Clear side markers (ordered, should arrive soon)
- Painted Calipers (Gunmetal/Silver/Black... can't decide yet)
- New, or Painted rims. Some SVT's would be nice, but again... $$$ limitations.

I would really like to do some kind of AV/Carputer system. I've got a spare 15" screen that I'm not using at the moment... just need to figgure out where to install it.
OH.

Forgot, it also has a shorty billet aluminum antenna. (2.5")

Give me a little bit of time, maybe it'll be show-ready once I come back from school in October.
Take your time buddy. I have had my car 5 years and it is only just getting to where I had initally planned. And there is more to come.

Where are you at? In or around the GTA? If so, keep an eye out for a Masiv Meet posting.
I was in GTA last week, and missed the Meet by like 6 hours (I had to get home to Ottawa for work)

I'll be back from 25th-28th... maybe meet then?

-S
Random sidenote... if you're using a USB plug or USB charger in your car and want to avoid ugly wires jutting out that can get banged/bent; I just bought myself one of these: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?View...K:MEWNX:IT

... In stores up here, 15-20$. From China? $3.27

Godbless the chinese.
Next meet is Monday June 28th from 7 till whenever at the corner of Dixie and Aimco in Mississauga. Will soon be listed in the Meetings and GTG forum.

If you do the carputer thing, take lots of pics, please.

Your car looks good - clean - other inexpensive and effective (IMO) mods you can do is a body-coloured grill and projector headlights ... I don't have it anymore, but I still think the front of my 07 wagon looked really clean.

Dayyyyum. Nice wagon. DO WANT.

Update: I was in the garage today. Bad things happen when I'm in the garage. (Read: Bitches don't know about mah skillz, yo!)

Is dat sum Di-Noc?

Nice upgrades over stock.
Nice work. Looks awsome.

Then you won't approve for a while :-P . Maybe once I get through school (again) and get hired into my career job I'll get a second focus that's not a daily driver...
everyone wants focus owners to get a turbo, but its your car, do what makes you happy. do what your funds tell you to do, so far it looks good. how did you get the carbon fibre pattern to blend in the crevices of the dash piece easily? did you use a heat gun?
Yes he did...consult his 2nd picture from the top. He got lucky...ususally heat guns are too hot and blister the covering before it's 100% complete...

I was using the heat gun far back, and casting a wide "wave" of heat across my work area (on the low setting, too...). Got burned once or twice on the fingers, but it worked quite nicely. The material can take a LOT of heat before melting/burning. Many of the videos online of the 3M qualified installers and trainers use heatguns.

My biggest mistake though was not using glue in the right places. This was a challenging piece to start with, and I've learned my lessons. I will be stripping it and starting over in a week or two, for a more permanent install.

Thanks for the view :-)
Also, I'm going to get a tool that my friend was using today, and if it helps with those pesky corners, I'll post pics. ^_^
