that sounds more realistic... tell the other guy to come back to planet earth and realize its a focus LOL
Now I just wonder if the disparity in the estimates relates to the parts that they intend to use in the repair? :hmm:

I mean reclaimed parts can (and usually are) fine but on a car that's only three years old I would be wary of letting them cheap out too much. I mean you are putting a fair bit of coin into that car and so I would think you'd want to make sure it was as close to pre accident condition.

Actually when I saw the one shop today, the guy was pretty good, down to earth. He actually invited me into the shop to show some of the work he does and some of the equipment he uses and basically laid out the battle plan. Actually I was quite impressed.

Basically he showed me the one tool, pretty sure other body shops use the same thing, but here's a LINK to it and it actually shows how it fixes the dents on a FOCUS. I'm feeling pretty confident and he was pretty reasurring that there would be very minimal body filler.
thats pretty cool, we have our own body panel tools haha
