Holy crap, they're writing off cars because of blood in the interior now?

If they're 'writing' it off, can you keep it instead? Last time I went to the scrapyard, there were a dozen Focus there. The guy I deal with is really inexpensive too. Door glass - $5.00 type cheap.

I share the pain. My car is running currently and the electrical for the alarm is working either. My passenger side drivers door window was kicked in. The person had to use the car next to me stand up on his door/window to gain leverage. Still the hole is only the size of 3 or 4 bananas. I have to thank my crazy tint for keeping the glass together. The bitch is that they never took anything. Went through the glove box, but left the stereo setup, socket set, rollerblades..... now its just a Pain in the A#$. Quote from Speedy worked out to 233.96 onsite repair with no tint.

keep the write-off, gut it, and race it.

I suspect that the blood is the nail in the coffin for the green machine. No matter how clean it might look, I'd always wonder if some blood was still in the foam etc.
I suspect paying you out for the car is less than having it bio-scrubbed. Can you even take it to a detail shop to be cleaned, or does it have to be a cleaner specializing in bio-hazard clean up?
Either way, you've given that car plenty of chances, no one would fault you for walking away now.

Tim is a monkey afterall...

Shitty deal about all the break ins. Makes me glad I commute 45 minutes a day from the country, and my car is parked in one of the patroled DND parking lots in Ottawa.
