I'm another wagon guy looking to slowly mod my car to improve on the factory looks. I lived in England for 3.5 years and I loved the European Fords, which is why I bought my current focus 2003 focus se wagon in 2007. I'm dissappointed Ford didn't bring the Mk2 or Mk3 focus here they are amazing. I love diesels. Ford makes such a good diesel for these cars.
welcom to F-C
welcome!

id love to have a diesel focus, they should have brought it to Canada, i think it would have sold. Come out to the meets some time!!
I should point out that even in europe the MK3 focus is not out there yet.

I think you mean MK1, Mk1.5 facelift, and the MK2 and MK2.5 facelift

Welcome to the site btw. and I agree with you on their diesel line ups, I'd opt for one if they were offered here.

I agree I had a Ford Mondeo Diesel Estate (wagon) as a loaner for a week and I loved it.

When are the meets?

give up on them. Got a vw Diesel instead. I wish ford will smarten up and bring the devil fuel cars over!
Meets are held everyother Monday @ Dixie & Aimco in Mississauga. You missed the most recent so you will have to wait until Sept. 6th for the next. Wow September. Where did the summer go?
Welcome!
Welcome, from another long roof fan. I am curious (yes even us old guys are curious) about the Ford Mondeo. Just reading the specs, I place it as somewhere a little larger than the Focus, but smaller than the Taurus. Did I read correctly it was available with a six-speed manual transmission? More importantly, was this transmission related to the one found in the Volvo V50/V70 wagons (Estates)?

The Mondeo was originally built on Ford's CDW27 platform, which was sold here for a while as the Contour and Mystique - no wagon though.

Where the Mondeo continued on in second gen (CDW162) and third gen (CDW132) editions in Europe - Ford fans in NA got nothing in that size until the Fusion came in 2006.
