I have just installed a new Hunter Digital Thermostat in my house and now something strange is happening. The A/C unit is going off and on with the heat. I do not want to trun the system off as it is too cold outside. It may be as simple as I connected the wrong wire to the wrong terminal, but I followed the directions explicitly. Not sure why this is happening now.
Fixed. The instructions were incorrect. I moved the A/C wire to the other terminal and now it isn't coming on in Heat Mode.

TIP: Turn the breaker for your AC Unit off in the winter. It'll save you a costly repair if you have it accidently starting when (a) it's full of snow or (b) has its cover on and can't ventilate.
