So, what's the difference between a Recall, a Field Service Advisory and a Technical Service Bulletin. According to another site, which uses ETIS, my 2012 has a FSA, 12B37.
TSB or Tech Service Bullitin is only if the problem is occuring or intermittent. It is almost like a forum if u must... of technicians who have issues that they got solved by Ford's Technician hotline and are documented so that techs elsewhere have an idea to troubleshoot.

Recall is a mandatory action. It may be as stupid as inspecting valve stems for leaks to replacing whole components.

I have no idea what a Field Service Advisory is.

An FSA IS a recall. It's Fordspeak. "Recall" is a dirty word in the industry.

A TSB is a technical document for technicians to aid in either diagnosing or repairing a problem. NOT mandatory AND is only performed IF you are having the actual issue described IN the TSB.

ie. I have a "tick" coming from my AC belt in my Mustang. There is a TSB for it, calls for a newly designed belt tensioner, pulley and belt. Just because your car fits within that build period does not mean that you automatically get the new belt/tensioner/pulley; you have to have "the tick".
i work at a ford dealership....what they said is true^^^^......
field service action sounds much better then RECALL!!!....we dont like using the "R" word.....freaks people out....
I'd get the Ford STs (service technician) to do an inspection for the FSA on the QT before your VIP (wife) has an incident and you all end up on KP.
