Most avatars seem to be not showing up for me. I tried to change mine but still can't see it.

I can see yours but not most or my own. Maybe yours is cached on my computer.
I can't see my avatar also, but I can see only a few others. I can see only a few pictures tagged in threads too.
I tried changing mine too and it still wouldn't show either.
same here triend changing mine aswell and still get the red x
Mine works for me. Everyone else has red x's.
uploading to focuscanada won't work. use photobucket and use URL instead.
uploading an avatar typically should work -- however, we lost all currently uploaded avatars. I thought it was a small sacrifice considering the larger issues we were having with the hosting provider getting hacked.
You should be able to upload your avatar now, but if not, photobucket is a good alternative.
also, clearing your browsing history might be a good idea.
Ahh man, I dunno if I kept that pic. Maybe I'll just take the avatar that I have on focusfanatics.
