Just wanted to post up my new svt high flow cat that I got made recently.

Got it done at http://www.seamlessautocare.com/ by Dave. Great guy and great work. Id recommend him any day. Shop is located in Carleton place,ON.

It cost me 550$, He made it in a 4-5 days.
Everything is made of stainless steel, Cat includes svt 3 bolt flange and 2 bolt, 2 02 sensor bungs with an elbow for the rear one so it doesn't throw a code. Wide-band sensor bung, Vibrant high flow 200 cell cat and 2 brackets.

Here are some pictures he sent me while he was building it and of it all done.

I'd be interested in a 1 year review if that rear bracket holds up. There is allot of stress at that point, but I think since he also braced the front your odds are pretty good this will hold up the test of time. You won't be like the rest of us that had to re-weld the highflow cats almost every year.
I'll for sure post back up in a year to see if its the same. I'm hoping I don't have a problem though, I wanted him to make it as strong as possible so it wouldn't break any welds like you guys said . He made the brackets a half inch thick.
Why not just use a svt oem cat and hollow it out now that we don't have sniffers?
I would wrap that CAT the get very hot and will heat your oil much more then you think and may even bake the oil in the pan as close as it gets

Good point - the OE cat has a heat shield at that location

I've heard its worst to hollow it out ? not sure if its true. But it didn't have brackets and it was knocking on my axle all the time so figured i might as well get one done.

I didn't even think about that, would the wrap be bad for the welds ? or make it rust.
Good quality stainless wont rust , use a magnet and if it sticks some its lower quality stainless if it doesnt stick at all its good quality and wont rust

Wrapping it shouldnt hurt anything but will cut down on the heat in your oil which is more important then the HFC , I would also do a 180 deg thermostat and have the fans turned on lower temp

Tom
Oh cool I didn't know that, I'll have to try it out. I already have a 180 deg thermo and I'm not sure if my fans are turned to low temp but your doing my tuning Smile so I imaging you probably did. Just need to install my wide-band then will be contacting you for a datalog and tune file.
that's actually looks really really good
