i got a 2009 focus se 5sp
05 Freestlye LTD
02 Jetta TDI
Lost the Focus this past March to a red light runner, picked up a 2008 Fusion AWD after that and had that car smacked by another red light runner in Sept but it's back under me (This year I think my deodorant must attract colour blind males <_<)

NefCanuck
2007 Black ZX5 SES TURBO for the summer.

Ye old 2001 Gold SE Sedan for the winter. (not for much longer tho) :)
Well... I never had a Focus... I had my Dads Focus when he wasn't using it.

From there I moved on to a 1999 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS, blew up the motor, fixed it, fixed it some more... got tired of fixing it.

In May '08, I bought my current car, a 2005 Saab 9-2X Aero and am very happy.

Dad however still has the '02 Focus ZX5 (I think that's the year), and I trade cars with him from time to time. It's been a good car, still running well, though it feels utterly gutless. Dad's thinking of buying a VW Rabbit to replace it, since it's getting a bit older, and he wants to go back to a standard instead of an automatic.
I'm debating between adding power mods to my 05, or completely changing to a new vehicle with power already there, eg 09 Subaru WRX Sti or the 265wrx in 5door hatch
OK I still have my Orginal 2000 ZX3 Pretty much converted to a full out drag car. Traded in my winter 2000 ZX3 and know Drunkinmunkey owns it and I have a 2008 Jeep Wrangle Unlimited

Or you don't like the car to smell like someone elses.

My old RS, it didn't smell bad or anything, but it never smelled like mine. It always smelled like I was driving someone eleses car.

If that makes sense.

i bought my 06 wrx (61k) with the warranty until 100k or 5 years and sure smells like new car to me after a good detailing job if that makes sence lol
Yup, warranties on a daily driver are definitely worth it in my books. Mind you, this is my second "new" vehicle (bought it one year old, but the 07 ZX5 had 500 KMs on it when I got it) that I haven't even used the warranty on.

That's ok, it's bumper to bumper for another 6 years or till I hit 150,000 KMs. So far, I'm so impressed I'd likely extend out the warranty on it again. :)

I just remember this one span with the 01 Focus where I must have gone through almost 2K in new parts (that were stock, mind you) in about a 6 month timeframe. During that time, I could have easily paid out the difference in a new car payment and any additional insurance and still walked away ahead. The warranty would have covered all of the repairs easily.

So, after two "new" vehicles in the last 3 years... I'm solidly split in whether or not I'd own another used vehicle without some sort of dealer-backed warranty. I've heard a LOT of horror stories about Lubrico warranties over the years and I don't think I could ever bring myself to have a car with a Lubrico warranty.
soon my warranty is gonna say bye bye.......exhaust, tune ect....

Nah they gotta prove that what you did caused said damage. And tunes are easy to change back :D
My 05 ZX5 is still kickin'. Just in the shop right now having MOOG end links put on to replace the stockers that just love to be replaced (currently clunking).

We need to have a yearly meet, I was pretty disappointed this year! lol And for the first year I had something actually done to my car (well imo at least) the SVT suspension and EAP's! Ah well, let's make sure to arrange a huge meet next year, I always look forward to those!

x2 on that!

its like focus community is dying
Quote:x2 on that!

This coming from a now Subaru driver. Quiter! LOL

Well we did have a good turn out at most of the bi-weekly Massiv Meets in Mississauga and the Algonquin Camping weekend was a blast a well. Also in the fall we had the cruise from Mississauga to Hamilton Mountian to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. Just no BBQ this year.

But you are right, the Focus Scene in S.O. is slowly dying. Its up to us to keep it alive.

no no no......i still drive ZTS every weekend!! :)

True ... but Ford hasn't made it easy ... after 7 Foci in a row I'm now replacing my wife's ZTW with a new Fusion - why? - because no wagon ... the only Focus we really liked and fit perfectly for our family was the wagon ... no wagon anymore ... I might have convinced her that a 5-door hatch was close enough - but, no hatch either.

We almost went for the Mazda5, nice vehicle, but the combination of high price and high lease rates resulted in a monthly lease payment almost $120 more than a fully loaded Fusion SEL I4 (both with 0 down) and a buy-out more than $2000 higher - just didn't make sense economically - so I guess that means we're still a Focus family at heart LOL - cheap.

Ken, what was the main reason for you to get rid of the wagon?
