was just talking to the insurance company and they are going to be sending out a representative to take a look at the car. im hoping all is well because i dont want to have to give up the car.
Hey maybe you can get your st you wanted (used of course but it's an ST)
lol, if it comes down to it, thats likely my option. something 2007 with around 30,000 on it. id likely be looking at about 15-16g's tho. ive already looked a little if it comes down to it. just not sure if im going to be able to remove my current mods, atleast exhaust wise.
You might have to bite that if you didn't keep the original stuff. I kept all my stuff just in case like this.
i have all but original exhaust from flex back. and a modified original intake. i have springs still, exhaust manifold, rear mount etc.

Ouch, that's cold

Man, that's a lot of damage on the rear, I'd say 50 / 50 to them scrapping the poor thing (I'm betting the frame got twisted the way the trunk isn't lining up any more)

Sorry Daniel, I couldn't resist. No offence. :D I say you will be looking at a rear clip after looking at the photo. The left corner is pushed in a long way. It may be close to writen off. She is twisted.
after taking a rele long look at it with some friends, its looking more and more like a write off. rear doors are off almost all the way around and the pass. side rear bumper mounting location is pushed in about 2 inches compared to the opposing side. we'll see what the adjuster thinks. if i remember correctly, new car insurance was placed on the car aswell giving me list price for the car in a settlement minus money owing and deductable. looks like ill have a down payment if it they cant fix it. i want it fixed tho... poor car
I'm going to have to go against everyone. I don't think it's got a twist. The body lines on the doors still seem to line up.

How are Focii for straightening? After my accident in my old Scirocco the frame was tweaked and the shop had to pull it straight again, drove better then ever after that, haha.

Make sure you find out what the ins. would want for a buyback if they try to write it off! Lots of things you could part out there.

Good Luck!

id have to take some pics up close of the doors, but they are definately off now. i can likely stick a pen in the opening now whereas before i coudnt put a q tip in. im hoping it because of the fender being screwed but ill have to see what they say. ive been paying them, now its time for them to do something for me, then inturn charge me out the ass for insurance.
ouch!!sorry to hear that..
hope you are okay
this seems like a family tradition, we get a car, have it for long enough to have some fun, and unexpectedly, write it off. almost to the day 2 years ago on october 17th my brother totalled his 2005 4dr cavalier on the 400 at wonderland, was hit by a transport after his rear end swung out. not 2 years and 3 days later, it happens to me.... and both of us came out of it without a scratch and no airbags went off both times. some1 was watching over me last night
Thank God you are alright. Hope you sort this out...
If they offer you a buy back let me know what they say.
ya im definately going to ask how much if it comes to that. quick question, will 15" wheels work on an ST?? im planning ahead incase that happens. just drove by the spot on my way back from brampton, just to give an idea of how much water was on the road, when i spun i was on the brakes, there were no skid marks whatsoever. i also bounced off the wall twice as there is one massive red spot, then two smalled spots on the wall and in between some small red scrapes from what i would assume was my bumper cover scraping across them.
rough estimate of damages visually, minimum of 7,000. they said the rear appears to have a slight twist and is not know yet whether or not it will we repairable. ill know more in the comming days. on a good note, i finally got my steeda catalogue lol... little late now haha
