weather gets nicer and finally took some pic of bulding it..

this is original rough idea..but actual structure will look different..due to mis-calculate..

only if i had right tool and space to work on, this could be done tons better..not ghetto way..
Looks good for the "ghetto way"!

I don't think I could build anything that looks that good on my best day.

looks great can't wait to see the finished product
damn my schedule has been changed again...since new guy just showed up and taking my working time..

anyway, i still need to add more fiberglass inside box and outside..to give enough strength..
this is how it looks now..
subs are going to be mounted inverted like this..

yaa i get the idea but will it be lieing down or alined to the seats or side of the hatch area?
1 end will sit onto the end of center console like this..

console-sub-sub-------- >>>>to rear of car..
update..
finally got a bit of time and trimmed excess stuff, and added 2 thick fiberglass mat to every corners to ensure there is no leak..

anyway..
i need to grab resin and mekp..
i m off from work 2 days in a row for this week, so i hope i can spend lots of time on this project..

working in bathtub sux..

looking good
Looking good so far, can't wait to see the finished product. BTW must be tricky taking a shower with the sub enclosure in there
put my foot in each openings, sit down and take a shower :D
just kidding..

i always keep that out from the tub, i only put that in when i need to apply fiberglass and sand..

Thanks for the chuckle - quite the image - and what's this about a "secret" layer - what is it - I promise not to tell!
actually it is not that secret..

it is mixture of resin and body filler..

but the secret is ratio to mix, when to apply..
almost done almost...
was thinking to paint it or wrap it using real carbon fiber but i am going to cover using fleece..
cheap, easy to stretch and looks half decent..
:postpics:
here is update..

single voice coil 4 ohm wired in parallel and total is 2 ohm..500rms..
will be hooked up to rockford fosgate 600.1bd..600rms @2ohms..

excuse the wiring..it is messy..
i still need to make 1 more amp rack for mono amp for sub..

and 2ch amp is hooked up to 5 1/2" polk component speakers..100rms each..
