I'm looking at picking up a set of helmet microphones/headphones for my parents, when they go offroading. One of the helmets is a full cover, the other is an open face with a faceguard attached (ie: no chin protection).

Has anyone ever used one of these mic systems?
Which brand/type is better? (Within a 200$ budget)
Any ideas where to pick one up (other than the goodtimes centre)

Thanks
Any Motorcycle shop in your area that deals with http://www.partscanada.com can get you the HJC chatter box , many different models available depending of what you want to do and your budget.

Here it's a Canadian Company , I think they sell online too.

yea the chatterbox is the one that i hear about most of the time

if they have a helmet that doesn't have the cutout in the liner for the earpiece it is going to be exteremely uncomfortable. even with a cutout in my helmet i find it annoying and would rather just have an earplug in my ear instead of that comm

Good to know... thanks. my mom tends to find anything and everything uncomfortable, so this might not be the best choice.

text messaging.. you don't have to hear a thing :D
do the systems have a remote volume control, something you could mount on handle bar so you don't have to more your hand to adjust the earpiece volume.
just a though, maybe that's a standard feature? I know nothing of this gear.

not sure how ATV bars are but on every bike i've seen and ridden the only place to mount anything is at the center of the bar near the ignition, so you'd have to move your hand anyway.

i'd just keep it in my outside jacket pocket
