i went out to start my car today it started fine but idled a bit rough i went in side to get ready came back out and the car had quit.
i tried to start and it roles over but no start. tried several times no luck.
car has gas lol
every thing appears to be working.
but fuel pump kinda sowned weird. it mite just be me but i am leaning towards fuel pump.

dose any one know the waranty thing a bought 2000 zx3 fuel pumps.
i thought i seen some where that they were stilled covered.
if any one could shed some light on this id appreciate it

take it to the ford and say you know about fuel pump recall thing and having this problem and that..
if you don't, they will refuse..
Did you maybe hit the fuel pump kill switch on the passenger side kick panel?
How do you know you have fuel? Did you check for pressure at the fuel rail?
so i just tell them theirs a fule pump recall.
and the switch was not tripped i checked that first.
what i ment by the car has fuel was that there is gas in the tank (think blond joke)
Obvious question, do you hear the fuel pump kicking in when you first turn the car from the OFF to the RUN? (but not START)

When was the last time you replaced your filter ... if you've let the tank run low on a regular basis a clogged filter is always a possibility ... and as the pump tries to push through a clogged filter it might make a different noise.

pull the line off the fuel rail and crank it, see how the pressure is. mine filled a timmies large cup in about 2 seconds lol

2000 focus? Ever replace your battery?
it was the fuel pump
and i wasnt covered
it a one time replacement and a previous owner did it in 03
so im $600 parts and labor
