Transport Canada issues latest recalls
October 11, 2007

Ottawa, Ontario - Transport Canada has issued its latest recalls, which may affect some Chevrolet, Cadillac, Dodge and Chrysler vehicles.

2004-2006 Chevrolet Optra
Vehicles affected: 34,140

Certain vehicles may experience a loss of headlamp low beam or daytime running light function as a result of a melted instrument panel harness connector. Dealers will add a direct connection splice clip to the headlamp low beam circuit in order to bypass the faulty connector.

2007 Dodge Ram Chassis
Vehicles affected: 200

On certain vehicles, the fuel tank straps were improperly manufactured and could separate, causing the fuel tank to loosen and leak fuel. Dealers will replace the straps and fasteners.

2007-2008 Dodge Avenger
2007-2008 Chrysler Sebring
Vehicles affected: 3,700

On certain vehicles equipped with a 2.4-litre engine, the coolant overflow from the recovery bottle may be drawn into the left radiator cooling fan motor connector. This can cause an electrical short circuit, and could result in an engine compartment fire. Dealers will inspect the connector for contamination or damage, install a wiring harness overlay and, if necessary, replace the fan motor.

2007 Cadillac CTS
Vehicles affected: 1,134

On certain vehicles, the sunroof can be closed after the ignition is turned off and the doors are opened. Occupants could receive personal injury as a result of improper sunroof operations. Dealers will install a wire harness.
Again, no Ford :D
