I'm having a few "issues" with the engine. Before I go about and either rip it apart, or pay to get something repaired that maybe just needed a good cleaning, one of our highly respected members has mentioned using seafoam to clean out the "innards" of the engine. Has anyone had any experience with Seafoam, and where can I get it?
I heard its good stuff but I dunno where to get it either
i believe CT sells it......but before my buddy at oil change place hooked me up with it.....its pretty good stuff
carquest sells it :) Around $12 /bottle after tax.
what is it and how do you use it?

is this to wash the engine or is it for internal parts?
I thought it was for internals.
Suck it in the intake, blow it out the exhaust... :D

It is basically a highly concentrated combustion chamber cleaner. People swear by it in the Escort/Protege community.

I know people who have fogged their neighbourhood for mosquitoes with the stuff...

how is this different from pouring those bottles of fuel system you can get from any autoparts store, or using fuels like shell 'vpower' that advertise the same remove gunk/build up properties?

Much more concentrated. This stuff is put right into the intake, not into the tank. You suck it in through a vacuum hose into your intake.

You can put it in your tank to remove fuel line deposits/schlack, but then you'll want to replace fuel filter and plugs after.
