I made a camera mount using scrap titanium :) from work, and then i took a video from a short auto-x i did recently. I made the mount such that it could be attached by hand using only the wing nuts. I borrowed my design from multiple sources and examples i've seen. it turned out really well (the mount and the vid)

I use to do what you did but it was off roading with my bike , it ended up by some pretty cool video... B)
