NOS2Go4Me,May 15 2007, 07:00 AM Wrote:Daniel, any reason why your runs were capped at ~6200 RPM or so?

The only reason I ask is because the Duratec makes peak HP @ 6000 on a stock mill. Is that because of the governor on a 3rd gear run? Nice numbers nonetheless. With a CAI and a tune I'll be shooting for 125WHP on the next dyno day.

Steve, Nevada called... they want their plateaus back  Christ, that's one hell of a torque map.

Since everything other than the SRI & MBRP was stock, I just told him to run it as a stock motor (and IIRC they have to do a third gear run to get accurate numbers...

Once I get my hands on the xcal2 and a decent tune I wanna see if I can break 120WHP (Should be easy enough, my motor is a "factory freak" to start with)

Yeah, seeing the Mustangs numbers I'm just sitting there going "Whoa...."

NefCanuck
i donno why...but i feel like buying an Xcal2 myself.....i have to see 130whp
Daniel - But you should have pulled to the cutoff at 6950 or at least the "redline" at 6800, no?

Kev, I forgot to add that I'm really impressed with the output of that kit. I'm raelly looking forward to a ride this summer!
i think my governer kicked in at 6200
i actually just picked up the x cal pro racer xcal2 flasher package but for anyone thats not as crazy as i am i would suggest the x Cal 2 i think Dasilva has them for about $500 cdn
the pro-racer package is great... and for the price, and the support you get with it, I'd consider it a deal.

Make sure you join the SCT forums, and if you bought from modular depot, their forums are pretty good too.

But if you bought from focussport (randy), hit up [FJ] and get added to that forum too.. lots of good info there on it.

too bad extra DBs and flashers are so expensive... 'cause I got the package, but no DB or flasher for hte stang, just the old focus...
bah...i hated my truck that day.....but i got the highest numbers...LOL..!!!...but with an engine 3 times bigger it sux to be under 300WHP...hold on guys im getting my pcm reflashed..!
at least my torque numbers where cool..its good to have at least 310 pounds of torque...sigh..
That's the old 5.9 Magnum eh? They're like the old 454SS was... boatloads of torque, not a lot of HP from the factory. They also don't rev very high if memory serves. I believe cams are your best option if you want to make a lot more power... a new coil and plugwires will make it a lot more responsive, too.

What rear end is in that thing?

EDIT - 250BHP on the stock 5.9L in the R/T, 345 lb/ft of torque. Stock power peaks around 4400 or so as you noticed. Yeah, cams for sure, new intake system and perhaps a proper dual exhaust? That'll get you right up there, along with a PCM flash for 91+ octane.
well...the beast has quite a bit of things in it so thats why im crying out loud..msd 6A, coil+wires, intake, clutch fan removed,UDP,headers, magnaflow muffler and hiflow cat single exhaust..(soon to get it 3" all the way ), mopar performance pcm and soon to come 2800rpm stall torque conv. and 1.7 roller rockers...and the rear end is a 9.25 with 3.92 gears and posi.
Sorry for the out of topic(focus) post...
Since nobody put any vids here. I'll add an old one.
