planning a trip to toronto this summer , what do you guys think would be some cool stuff to see/ do ? Were planning on goin to cn tower for sure.
take a walk through the Hockey Hall of Fame
CN Tower
Jay's game
see a live theatrical show (pick any)
do lunch at the Docs
walk along the waterfront downtown
visit Toronto Island
goto Wonderland
go go-karting (need a license to drive)
hit up some patios
goto second city
eat at Wayne Gretzky's
try Different foods (authentic indian, chinese, ethiopian, mexican, etc etc)
have the hottest hot wings you'll ever have (after death at Duff's)
Goto Ashbridge's bay for a walk along the boardwalk, watch volleyball on one of the 100+ courts
Hit up the distillery district for amazing food/drink
visit any of the dozen's of micro brewery's (The Granite Brewery is one of my fave).
And depending when you're here, you may catch such things as the Molso---I mean steamwhistle Grand Prix (or whatever beer company is sponsoring it), ride the gardiner/dvp on a bicycle, climb the CN Tower stairs (took me 26 minutes), etc etc...
goto Midievil times (exhibition place)
visit Woodbine racetrack and casino..
Dave and Buster's

and the list goes on...
Have wings and beer with puppet. That is a must do while in the city.

agree.
-Go to Jay's game on Tuesday, you can get 2$ tickets.
-Docs is great for a summer brunch.
-CasaLoma if you are in the old history stuff.
-You might also consider coming around of the end of summer for the Ex
-Toronto Indy

As others have mentioned, what i love about TO is the fact you can get whatever you want. So let us know what else you are into and maybe we can guide you a bit better. I mean do you like clubbing?Dinning? Romantic walks?Historic sites?
Let us know when you are coming down, maybe we could have a GTG and show you around :)
thinks its gonna be around the end of june , some good ideas here ..
So Far I think we are buying a toronto city pass which includes

Cn Tower
Casa Loma
Ontario Science Center
Royal Ontario Museum
Toronto Zoo
and last but not least
Hockey Hall of Fame

All for 53.10 usd / person
http://www.citypass.com/city/toronto.html

Think its a good deal seems like it to me but im a tourist lmao
I'd take that city pass for sure, even for Sara and I. It's a hell of a deal.

I'll echo other votes for go-karting (always a good bet in the GTA), the CN Tower (still need to take my wife there) and the Toronto Zoo (I'm going to need more SD cards).

The HHOF is always a good idea in my mind, but I've heard it was cheapened in exhibits of late. Anyone care to comment with some first-hand experience?

I haven't been there since the first year they opened in the old Royal Bank building (where there are now).
if your visiting all of Ontario there are a few other attractions.

Niagra on the lake tours - great if your into wine tasting, and driving
Niagra Falls - the view is really cool, though it can be a bit cheesy down there in the entertainment area.
Niagra Falls View Casino - if your into that
Kitchener's October Fest - Tonnes of beer and tonnes of BBQ'ed Sausage
Sauble Beach - Awsome views, not to mention a huge beach you can drive on, and not as crowed as Wasaga Beach
Ontario Place in Toronto.
Toronto Island - great to walk round on see the city from the island
Toronto Zoo - one of the biggest in Canada

then their's all the stuff in Ottawa that I can't thing of.
I'll second Sauble Beach, I was there in February and even then, the view was spectacular (when the weather co-operated :P)

If you need a place to crash, I can heartily recommend the Bay View B&B on Sauble Beach...

why is this in here?
we booked howard johnson hotel
We are kind of unsatified with howard johnson since they have a 1st night guarentee if you find it cheaper anywhere else and expedia has it cheaper and they will not honour it so my question to you guys is you know anywhere that has air conditioning for a reasonable price ?
bump**
I tend to spend the extra and head for places like the Delta Chelsea. Security, valet parking (although I did have that one bad experience with the valet and a rental), proximity to downtown attractions... and a half-decent price for that location.

PM me, I might be able to get you a discount.

Leaving on sunday should be fun,

this is the plan

Sunday - one night in montreal (cut the drive in 2 )

Casa loma
Cn tower
Hockey Hall of fame
Toronto Zoo
Royal ontario museum
Ontario Science center
and last but not least
Canadas Wonderland :D

Should be a good time I really need this vacation .
Honestly, I'd think again about the science center, unless you like unruly kids ignorant parents. We went there a couple of months ago and had an absolutely miserable time.

Let me know how the drive was too, since I'm going your way in August :) We aren't going to Moncton though. :(
I dunno, I find that the Science Centre is fine if you go over the summertime during the week because the only time that parents would take their kids when it isn't a school function is weekends.

-sigh- I used to like the Science Centre, too much walking from place to place within the centr now for my tastes...
