Well, as the title states, im starting my turbo SVTF build in the coming months and I need a few pointers/ideas/opinions form my fellow fofo owners. Now, i have a pretty good understanding of the limitations on the SVT in stock form; intake manifold and internals to name a few, but id like to get some more info from the more experienced builders on this epic forum. Here is my list so far:
EBC front and rear rotors
Hawk pads front/rear
Calipers (mustang, willwood, etc)
4/6 puck clutch w/ lightweight aluminum or steel flywheel
Differential
Cam gears
ARP head studs
Silicon coolant hose kit
60lbs or 71lbs injectors
Fuel Pump booster
DiabloSport MAF Interface Adapter
DiabloSport MAF Extension Harness
Copper plugs
J&S UltraSafeguard Two Channel ignition control system
Turbo (stock RB20 or GT28RS disco potato)
Intercooler (around 26.75L x 6.20 H x 3.50D Overall or 22L x 8H x3.5D)
Exhaust manifold, downpipe, charge piping (custom)
-All related hardware (clamps, couplers, etc)
Tial wastegate
Tial BOV
AEM TRU-BOOST
AEM fuel Pressure Gauge (digital)
AEM wideband O2
ECU/PCM, or reflash
Custom exhaust
H&R 24mm front sway bar
Steeda 29mm rear sway bar
Eibach Sportline Springs (2 inch drop)
Koni Damper kit (front and rear)
Steeda Front tubular lower control arms
Rims
Tires
All the turbo piping will hopefully be custom made by mani @ Federal Tubing in Mississauga
My turbo options are either the stock turbo from a Skyline RB20DET or the GT28RS. The Skyline turbo is in epic condition and even though its an OE turbo, it will spool insanely fast and produce more then enough boost then what im looking for (around 8-10 psi)
Any and all help would be awesome, FOFOFTW!!

looks liek you got a good list... should be fun
whats your power goal?
-I recomend to get Hawk HP Plus pads
-Get Willwood calipers if you can
-Resurface your stock flywheel if you can
-You need only one gear (you probably knew that already)
One BIG thing you're missing there... LSD

its in the list under differential lol most likely Ford Racing or some other 2-way diff othe then Qualif, heard they like to go boom in their case lmao

I know the stock fly wheel is dual mass and has a Marcel spring in it to cushion back and forth shock of engine/trans, is that why you recommend a resurface instead of replace?
Also willwood is epic win but also $$$ lol

I never really thought about it lmao, but Iv read that on the max boost it can handle (which i think is around 13.5 psi according to Tom) it makes around 330-350 to the wheels depending on turbo size, tune, etc
I guess a respectable 285-300 would be wicked @ 10 PSI for track days, but as a DD id like to dial it down to 220-240, no need for so much awesomeness all the time

you can probably get a Torsen, to save a few hundred dollars.

I think Torsen makes the Ford Racing one? either way, if their the same ill get which ever one goes for cheaper lol
Nice list but as for the Turbo I had a 28 and after a year I was bored of it Get a bigger turbo I would suggest a GT 32 or GT35R depending on how much you want to spend. As for exhaust Manifold I'll be parting with mine in a couple of weeks if your interested. Asking $500 I spent almost double that on vibrant pieces etc and labour. I also have tons of couplers and random pieces that you can save some cash on.

I know the manifold will bolt up to the head, but will there be enough room to run the charge piping to the throttle body?. I saw pics of your car and the piping to the TB is on the opposite side of were the turbo sits, but on the SVT they would both be on the same side of the engine bay

I can see in the winter the awesomeness is not needed but really... Awesomeness is much needed. :D :D :D
Bring it to the Monday meets next year when she's all setup.

Lol yeah, that was a silly statement. Awesomeness is always needed.
OP: Are you a hardcore track visitor? Where else are you gonna use this awesomeness?

right now....no, im a certified noob lol, mind you though when i had my FC RX-7 i practiced a bit, but that was a different animal. As for the awesomeness, this is my DD and i drive about 600km a week between school, home, work blah blah blah, so thats when 10 psi sitting in rush hour traffic on the Gardiner wont be needed lol, but if some civic thinks he a smart guy ill be crankin that f**ker to 13.5 psi lol
Hmm as for space as long as you relocate the battery there is some space to work with. As for the fmi pipes it would need some modifying.
