As your first unofficial duty here on FocusCanada.net, you could choose a date and location and then invite the rest of us -- and except for a few individuals who apparently have a reputation for not showing at the last minute (rumour has it) I'm sure most people who say they're coming, will actually show up. As the author of this thread why not give it a shot? Cheers!

BTW, I was kidding about the S&S ... that is unless someone else chooses that location in which case I'll be there - but only because I'm a team player. ;-)
I haven't been to the S&S for a long time. Don't count me in yet, I am still waiting on the green light from my doctor.
As Anthony has said the only way to set up a meet is to pick a day well ahead of time and stick too it. If you leave it open to a group decision it will be a mess.

If people make it they make it, if they don't they don't, let them arrange their own if there are so hung up on the idea. You will never pleas all the people all the time. There is a pretty diverse crowd of students, working types, both, people on shifts, people on days, young and older.

Try not to plan anything on a long weekend and have realistic expectations.

Always a good idea to have something in mind other than just standing around looking at cars, I've been driving the same Focus for 7 years almost now and that is the case for many so there is just not much new and interesting. In fact it is quite boring at most meets to be honest.

This or something similar should probably be a sticky.

Agree.

Not a whole lot can be done to a Focus that us old-timers haven't already seen.

Plan a cruise, or a wing-night...something to get us away from the parking lot for a bit.
you know Funny thins is I was in Brampton up till about aug last year... I'm there once a month for sure I might have seen you round town before too...

BTW, I'm the Only focus owner with a Yellow sedan that drives round Brampton.

Atleast you can admit it.
being the person who has never been to a meet, would it be better to do during the day or at night or does it matter?
during summer we have meets during mondays...and they start at 7 o 8pm
Weekday meets are toughest for me because I don;t drive into the office. I won't go back out to Burlington to get the car and drive down to Brampton. That's my I never got out ot any of the weekly meets you guys always attended.
yea, weekends are better for me....I work in the evening...
what days on the weekend?
yeah but if it's on a weekend a good majority of people who say they are showing up don't. like anthony... and a few others, as they tend to forget about them and plan other things... plus most of the 16-27 crowd tend to be working weekends.
weekends r cooler with me - up in barrie - better traffic on the weekends
Weekday evenings are better for me ... but I don't have to drive too far so a weekend might be okay too ...

thing is you'll never find a time that's right for everyone - best to choose between weekday evening or weekend - put a stake in the ground and see who's up for it.

And if anyone doing transit wanted a GO train pickup or something for an evening thing, I'd be up to car pool task.

A Brampton meet sounds cool to me. Just pick a time/date and location and I'll let u know. I suggest TJ's in brampton, theres 2 of them one near the cop station, one up on highway 10 near heartlake area... or there is trinity commons is another good meeting area, lot of restraunts in there, maybe shoppers world too? bramalea city centre? who knows? pick a restraunt or establishment or even a park woudl be good.
did this happen?
or is it starting up
