I ran this when I had my 01 ZX3, along with AEM CAI, FC 65mm TB and 2nd gen MBRP.  I used to get 550-600+ km's to a tank still with those bolt-ons, but eventually the fuel economy dwindled (especially in winter).

I noticed that my Mustang gets it's best fuel economy when it's cool out, and NOT cold or hot.  In normal conditions, on the hwy, I can get 500-550+ km's to a tank, and that tank costs $40-$45 to fill on average.  Not too shabby for a V8 huh?

well i took the advise of drivesthebeast..went out today and bought blue FR 9mm wires and the OEM motorcraft plugs...just need the time to put them in
I can finally say now that i think the problem if fixed, i have changed the wires, plugs and air filter, i still want to put a new fuel filter on. i don't know by how much more the KMs have increased by, as i only filled the tank half way the other day after i changed

thanks
Fuel economy has a lot to do with your right foot as well. If i drive with the rest of the pack on the highway, 110-140km/h ill only get 425-460HWY and if i drive 100km/h ill get well over 600. This also is true for pulling away from stop lights etc...
Yeah but in even a lightly modded Focus the gas pedal is whispering "use me, abuse me"

Very true, and same for my stock car lol.
i drive like everyone else (usually) since my car has no mods to it
Now you need an MBRP Gen 2....a FC or BBK TB, and an intake (Like AEM or Injen), and the car will be a different animal.

I drove my friends SE sedan (Zetec, 5spd) back and forth to work for a few days, and man was that car ever slow...in comparision to my ZX3 with only easy bolt-ons (FR 9mm, FC 65mm TB, AEM CAI, MBRP Gen 2, Syn oil)...

Hope that the plugs and wires make a difference for you, and that your economy improves...
