Well To make a long story short I gotta go to ford tonight at 7:30 to have my Focus checked out. Left this morning on my way to work and it started to spin on the ice so I gave it quite a bit of gas because the traction control was dieing the motor out.

Well when it got to pave the throttle stayed to the floor and almost made me pass right trough a stop sign with cars coming jammed the brakes and they just drug I had to through it in neutral.

Guess I should have just bought a standard like I wanted to then id just have to clutch it.
Yup.common problem believe it or not.

Mine sticks all the time!

Throttle will stick every few months for me, I just open the hood and put the throttle cable back in the proper spot

yes it is annoying
^^^^ yeah i had a similar problem and my cable was almost cut at the TB.
Must be a first-gen TB thing? I don't recall the Duratec guys on the major forums ever mentioning it.
Can't say that i've ever had this problem on the focus. But i do remember my escort gt doing this back in the day. First time it happens is pretty scary, after that i realized how to fix it and it just became a querk of the car.
same thing happened to me to. my tb cable came right off and the throttle pedal just sat on the floor. Easy fix, I wouldnt worry about it.
Mine is a duratec 2006
Duratecs are drive-by-wire if memory serves... so you'll likely just want to take it in to the dealer. You're under warranty, use and abuse it. :D
yeah I gotta go tonight for the part.
