Ever christmas season i see articles like this and i get soo pissed off. Anyone that knows me, has heard atleast one of my rants on this subject. One of those things i feel very strongly about.
wecome to the world where "Political correct sensitive idiots" rule.

thing like this make me wonder where this worlds is heading...

basically... the world we except you the way you are.

as long as your not white male christian or believe in xmas...
yup.. that's pretty retarded.

Maybe they should concern themselves about including religions instead of excluding them outright.

I wouldn't be offended if I walked into a business and was confronted by a menorah or sacrificial cammel... ok.. maybe sacrifice is a bit extreme, but c'mon.. allow people to celebrate their traditions, not force it inside like some sort of taboo.

I can understand not allowing public masturbation, but c'mon.. I don't want to be foreced into the bathroom to enjoy a decorated christmas tree as well!
I completely agree... that's just beyond ridiculous.
instead of taking down the tree why not add other stuff from other cultures... nah that would be stupid...

Forget that! Its a catholic holiday, in a catholic based country. If you've moved here from a different country and have a different religion thats fine. You're more than welcome to have whatever faith you want, but don't expect me to change to suit you. You knew coming here we are a catholic country. I don't go to your country and expect you to embrace my holidays or add catholic symbols to your holidays.

So i say to anyone that has a problem with a christmas tree being displayed proudly in the lobby of a building, tough s*** if you don't like it. If looking at the christmas tree is so hard for you go back to whatever country you came from. I'm sure you won't have the same freedoms or oppurtunities you have here. And maybe if you come back again you'll appreciated all that we offer instead of bitching and complaining about our holidays symbols.
Hearye hearye! Demand the use of aluminum Festivus poles says I! If there be no Christmas tree, at least have the decoration of a fake holiday!
you realize the only people who could actually make a comment like that with out sounding a wee bit silly is a native american...

Whether you like it or not, Canada is a nation of immigrants. My family comes from Germany & Scotland mainly... be it 200 years ago on my fathers side and 150 years on my moms...

thats the type of thinking that make people have to take the trees out in the first place...

In My Canada... All are welcome and Celebrate what ever religion you want next to my Commercialized Xmas tree.

And since when does Xmas have anything to do with god.... isn't the 25th of December the day the first walmart opened?
What would happen if we just went around saying Fawk you at christmas. How nice would that be?
BTW........if I haven't said it lately. Fawk you.
I don't think government buildings should be decorated at all..

Call it a holiday tree and don't put religious decorations on it.. I'm pretty sure candy canes and glass balls don't have anything to do with Christianity.

I'm an atheist and I hate decorations though, the only part of xmas that I like is the blatant commercialism. :P
For one, they took it down for the wrong reasons.
A tree has never been a symbol of true Christianity, just something adopted fairly recently. 7000 years before Christianity, the Norse and Pagans celebrated Yul, the winter solstice, by making a yule log and putting a tree in their homes. This began on the 21st, shortest day of the year, and on the 25th, pulled the tree down and burned it. The reason for it was to ask for the Sun to come and provide heat to the Earth for the new year, hense burn the tree.
So to me.... if you want to pull a tree down, make it clear why, don't use a common misconception.

:o
wow.
I was dressed up as Santa last night for the company christmas party, the kids loved it, had a great time etc etc. One guy who's just a royal pita happens to be a JW. They don't celebrate holidays etc. He went out of his way yesterday and again today just to try and make us all feel bad that we were participating in something that he couldn't take part in because of his religion. Well too freakin bad. Do I celebrate Hannaka, Ramadan, Diwali etc. No I don't, but do I make the Jews, Muslims, Sihks etc. in my community feel like they are doing something wrong by doing so? No.

This jackass says to me that the only reason I said yes to being Santa was to try and copp a feel of the 2 girls who were being the elves. WTF. If I wanted to copp a feel I'd just walk up behind them and slap them on the ass, it's not like they'd care that much.

So anyway, to anyone who doesn't give a flying rip about political correctness

MERRY F'N CHRISTMAS

Hope everyone enjoys the special time of year and if your so damned miserable that you've got to ruin everyone else's enjoyment, let me know, I'll fedex you a bottle of cheap rum and a pistola with one bullet in it. :P
I want to slap a girl's* bottom...

+1 to my opinion of the Muslim Canadian Conference.
I can't comprehend why these people are making a big deal. To me Christmas is about getting together with family, having a nice home cooked meal etc. but also for the kids. We arn't enforcing religious beliefs or that foolishness on them by celebrating christmas. Its tradition we have had for thousands of years. They are just kids. have fun and enjoy Christmas. As far as JW go, they dont even celebrate birthdays, if they are true to their beliefs. and why? cus the only person to have a celebrated birthday to them... was assassinated. i like it. could be a cool movie........

If a Jew or someone really cant stand our (CANADIAN) way of life, get the hell out. I dont go over to the promised land and tell them to pull the star of Adam down......
