2005-2006 Focus - Mil On and Engine Rough Running/Misfire Concerns with DTCs P0201/P0202/P0203 or P0204 - Loose Pin Fits In the Fuel Injector Wire Harness
Some 2005-2006 Focus vehicles may exhibit the mil on and engine rough running/misfire concerns with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC'S) P0201, P0202, P0203 or P0204 present in the powertrain control module (PCM).
Engine misfire DTC'S P0316, P0300, P0301, P0302, P0303 OR P0304 may also be present. This concern may be due to loose pin fits in the fuel injector wire harness connectors (C1181, C1182, C1183 and C1184).
Inspect wire harness side of fuel injector connectors for spread pins. If found, squeeze pins together with pliers and verify that pin fit is now tight.
