I'm just wondering if anyone knows how to seperate the lock(tumbler) from the door popper?

i have never used the key lock on my hatch... nor on my doors for that matter...

and i have an infared back-up camera that fits nicely in the keyhole of my hatch...

Only thing is i can't get the door popper back in with out removing the tumbler, and since i only have the one i'd rather on screw it up getting them apart!


any one know how to do this? or should i take it to a locksmith? lol

1. Remove the liftgate latch.For additional information, refer to Liftgate Latch in this Section.

2. File down the liftgate lock cylinder housing to expose the spring and plunger.


3. Remove the spring and plunger. Discard the spring.


4. Remove the liftgate lock cylinder.
