Howdy! My name is Gabriel and I just purchased my used 2003 Ford Focus from a Ford dealer on Vancouver Island on the highway, Glen Oak Ford Sales.. Its a silver Focus ZX5, with basically no options or mods but thats going to be changing soon!
I live up in Duncan, for those on the island, but I spend mostly all my time in Victoria, because I work there a lot, its only 45 minutes on the highway. I am used to driving the Malahat everyday in a truck, but now with rising gas prices that didnt seem to make sense to me anymore, so I bought a tiny 4 cylinder!:fag:

problem is, it so drab looking, my truck has big chromies on it and I am looking to add some exterior styling to this car, and maybe a nice set of 17s, or possible 18s.. Are there any dealers that cater to the island? I have been looking around for a couple of weeks on what I would want to buy and have seen a few choices..

has anyone heard of the company F2? I was directed there by the guys at the ford dealer, they also directed me to http://www.focaljet.com, but i wanted something more local and to the country I live in.. The front and rear bumpers that F2 sells look real nice and I am probably going to get them, but I will keep searching for a while to see what else is out there. :)

:fag: ha ha I love this guy!
Our sponsor, ZX3Tuning, is out in Vancouver. He can hook you up like you would never believe.

Enjoy your new car.
Welcome to the board. As meford said ZX3Tuning will be the man to talk to. He's an F2 dealer so he can hook ya up with what you want.
Welcome!!!

Enjoy your stay!!

Welcome.

go to Mitch at ZX3tuning.com, he'll get you whatever you need.
Welcome aboard. You will have a lot of fun moding your Focus. Just don't go the ricer route. Everyone on here is very helpfull so don't be afraid to ask questions.

Just 1 pointer, don't talk about street racing. Even if you raced a Mercedes and beat it. That doesn't go over well here. You will get banned for that sort of thing.
Yeah Street racing storys are not welcomed here as everyone is against it.

But welcome to the board none the less, and if you want to go the euro route there is sasha's site as well and that's http://www.european-parts.net, and Mitch at http://www.zx3tuning.com is awsome at getting you what you want at reasonable prices.

Yeah what he said, and as many others have mentioned Mitch(ZX3Tuning) is definately a great hookup for anything focus related and more.
Oh and welcome aboard.
Welcome Aboard.....

I'll try to help out when you need it, but make sure the words are small, and there isn't any math to do. Otherwise, i may get confused and go screaming around the house and run into a few walls.

Other than that, I think i have a fair bit of knowledge that may help. (ya know not to toot my own horn, but I am a F-18 mechanic....LOL)
Hi there,

:hi:

As the others said, don't go ricer, and you won't go wrong. Also, I'd highly reccomend both zx3tuning.com and http://www.european-parts.net , if you are wanting to go with styling. Sascha packs your orders so that the shipping from Germany is cheap, and his pricing is fair for what you get or want to buy. Mitch has all of the hookups out west for cosmetics, but he's also a major asset for Forced induction, and the other more serious performance mods. In terms of rims, you could go the route I did, and that is to buy stock SVT rims from Ford Motorsport, as the pricing was awesome, and they fit 100% perfect, with no tire tub or anything...

welcome! :)
Welcome to Focus Canada!

We're pretty well-versed in modding ideas here. The best advice I can give is to just be yourself, irregardless of how insensitive we can be here at times. Enjoy the Focus, it's a really fun little car!
welcome.

Go turbo, rest is a waste.
Welcome, welcome, now you have to decide whether you want show or go or a combination of the two (Though that all depends on your wallet too :P)

Ask any question you like, we may not have the answer but at least we'll try to entertain you if we don't

Welcome!

I, as well as FestiveZombie, and focustunerzx3 (I think thats his nick on focubc.net) live n victoria too

if you ever need help, or want to check out our cars (both festivezombie and I have lots of stuff done to ours) pm me up :)

wow thanks for all the replies!
From what ive seen everyone loves to go to Mitch, when I am ready to purchase I will give him a jingle.

I'm not a fan of street racing, but with the Focus modified chances are I will have no choice about starring in a few, people will race me, but I will keep going the speed limit :). I havent considered if I wanted to do a whole amount of engine upgrades, I am thinking of just moving into Victoria to skip the whole drive down and up the malahat.. If I did that, then I could get engine goodies! no point on wasting it if I am only going to be D-D'ing it

thanks for all of the replies, I will be checkin in now and again whenever I am looking for some new modifications!

Perfectsaiyan, will do!
Wellcome aboard!!!!!!!!!
