Changed it? Yes. Used Redline? At first yes, but did not like it much so went to the Ford Full Synthetic Manual Trans fluid. The Ford fluid is much better, IMHO.

AFAIK there is no change interval specified. The only reason I changed mine was that the shifter got very stiff in cold weather. I changed it myself, so I don't know how much Jiffy Lube or Canuck would charge.

for what its worth, i personally wouldn't put anything other than the OE gear oil into the trans

I change my own. It's easier with a friend but you can do it solo. I use GM SyncroMesh fluid lots of guys on FJ seem to like it and I have to agree. Puts that tractor noise to rest for a while too :)

You use it too? too bad it's pretty expensive :( Last time I changed it I put a tad more fluid in and it put the gear roll over noise completely to rest. I am a bit more cautious to try that in the summer, I don't want to blow a seal with the summer heat and too much fluid :(
