He was three feet away from the halfboards and getting off the ice.

The only thing more frakked up than that hit is the fact that you're cheering it.

If I saw my teammate do that, I'd stand back and let him get what was coming to him.

Of course, hard to take your lumps when he runs to the penalty box like a sissy girl and hides.

Yeah, league MVP material there.

I didn't get to see the game... was at a christmas party down at the Liberty Grand (good stuff!).. my bro was text messaging me for most of the game and said that briere got creamed. I'll have to check out the video when i get home and take a look.

I love Ovechkin and all but that was definately a dirty hit. And as for Briere playing well because of the new "pussy" NHL, I kinda look at it the other way around. Briere is showing his real skills because the NHL has cleaned up its act.

There's no way you can call that anything but a dirty hit. The fact that the NHL didn't suspend him goes to show that aslong as you put on a good show for the fans they'll look the other way when you cross the line. Shame on the NHL for condoning that cheap shot.

Sad, if that's all that Leaf fans can cling to. One game.

At least the Habs can manage to win a Stanley Cup every decade or two.

If the Leafs miss out again this year, and that'll be 40 years.
