Currently working for Maple Reinders building and upgrading sewage and water treatment plants.
Currently staying in a hotel in Mississauga.
Worked for the DND for 10 years, until a student in my truck thought it would be funny to hold the
airfield radio on, while I ranted/raved/swore about how stupid every Canadian Allie/Enemy is.
Needless to say, my decision to do either computer tech support or get an apprenticeship in the
carpentry shop was made for me. Can't pass security clearance now. Just wish someone would
of had the balls to tell me after the radio incident. I waited for quite awhile until I found out why
my contract wasn't renewed.

I should be retired by now like 2009 is ... but with two small kids I can't afford to - thankfully I like what I do.
I'm self employed as a communications strategist / video producer / event producer / speech writer / spin doctor / speaker coach ... and my clients include the execs from Ford, GM, Lexus / Toyota, a couple of major Canadian advertising agencies, and a bunch of smaller companies in the US.
I also have a sideline appearing in TV commercials and print ads, doing video voice over and VOG, and working as an emcee / host.
The work I love the most though is being dad and husband.

What LOL - not interested in communications strategy?? Anyway, if I can find them online ... a lot of them are still current (not all are Canadian though) so keep your eyes peeled - CTC, Golftown, Trump Hotels, TD Bank, TCF Bank Chicago, Detroit Edison, The Big Game Lottery, ... about one a month for the last year or so - not a big deal really.

I work as a programmer for a company called ADP. If you check your pay stub, chances are ADP does your payroll.
But I work on the dealership software side of things. So yes, I can actually connect to a dealership's box and check what they paid for the car
But I don't think the company likes that.. hah

OK , a little something about me ... I am self employed too , like a few other members here . I've been working for myself basically since 1993 in Romania , then in the USA and for over 10 years in Canada . I have started a new business , called Champion Autosports , a little shop with a small showroom . in Barrie , where I offer services like brakes and suspension repairs , maintenance and upgrades , alignment ( and happy to say that between end of october and december 31st I had 48 alignments done ) . Also sell and service tires and rims . Being a new kid on the wholesalers' block , the struggle is to have lower prices compared to the ones that have been out there for a while now and make some profit too . Also I am working on an importation system to bring parts and some tires from south of the border . Currently I have a wholesale account with Tire Rack and I bring parts and tires by order . I'm a Systems Administrator (IT guy) for an international mining contractor. I tend to specialize in email, Active Directory, network infrastructure, security / firewalls, email archiving and network / infrastructure design. In reality, I'm responsible for over 30 Windows-based servers worldwide for the entire group, including Sudbury, Timmins, Reno (Nevada), Rouyn-Noranda and Santiago (Chile). I'm also indirectly supporting new office and ventures in South Africa, Australia, Peru, Uruguay, Mongolia and Krygystan, as well as their network and other supporting "bits" - yes, pun intended. :p
I'm sure I've forgotten a few. I'm 2nd-up for the entire company (and wholly-owned sub-companies) for IT, really.
