if you have a parking spot for it, there is almost no bad reason for having a reliable beater around.... there's always situations where you dont want to take your 'good' car.. like street parking in china town during dim sum rush .. hahah

if i were you and had the space i would keep the car, your not going to get alot of money for it in a private sale, too many km's, it might run just fine but you know how people are when buying used cars.... and as for the rims , or any other mods, youll never get anything back for those unless your sell them separatly ....
personally i would keep the car as a beater ... best that way
